Suffolk Young Ambassadors

Great news!

We have been accepted into the Suffolk Young Ambassadors Programme.

There will be 6 weekly sessions (excluding half-term) to train Young Ambassadors in leadership, citizenship and social action.

Afterwards, Young Ambassadors will be supported to create their own youth social action, to tackle issues important to their community or school. Throughout subsequent weeks, our Young Ambassadors will also attend fortnightly meetings with key professionals and public figures across Suffolk, who will provide workshops in their given professions.

At the end of the youth social action programme, each school will be invited to a Suffolk Wide online Youth Conference.  Young Ambassadors will present their Youth Social Action and receive awards for their involvement. However, their participation does not end there. They will be working across charities, social care, education, and health care to continue to express the thoughts of students from our Saturday school. In practice these students will be part of our Vision for Change and will be instrumental in shaping Suffolk’s services for young people.

This project is aimed at Y5/6 children and we would like to invite your child to join this programme.

The meetings will be about 1 hour long and will take place on Saturday between 1:30pm-2:30pm.
